Job Description

As a Mechanical Engineer at our Port Elizabeth office, you'll be responsible for designing, testing, and improving mechanical components. You'll have the opportunity to collaborate with a skilled team focused on driving efficiency and sustainability in engineering solutions.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement project plans for mechanical engineering projects.
• Create detailed technical drawings and specifications for manufacturing.
• Coordinate with suppliers and vendors to procure required materials.
• Analyze data and generate reports on project performance and outcomes.
• Lead troubleshooting efforts to resolve engineering challenges efficiently.
• Participate in design reviews and provide constructive feedback.
• Engage in continuous improvement initiatives for mechanical systems.
• Mentor and train less experienced engineering staff.
• Communicate findings and project updates with stakeholders effectively.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
• Master's degree is advantageous

Experience

• 3+ years of experience in mechanical engineering

Technical Skills

• SolidWorks
• AutoCAD
• Thermodynamics

• Communication

Certifications

• Certified Professional Engineer (Pr.Eng.)

Languages

• English: Fluent
