Tax Accountant

Job Description

We seek a meticulous Tax Accountant to join our Pretoria office. You will be responsible for preparing and filing tax returns, ensuring compliance with regulations, and providing expert advice to clients. This role requires a solid understanding of tax laws and excellent analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and file corporate and personal tax returns accurately and on time.
• Conduct research on tax regulations and stay informed on changes in tax laws.
• Advise clients on tax-saving strategies and compliance issues.
• Assist in tax audits and liaise with tax authorities when required.
• Maintain accurate records and support documentation for all tax filings.
• Provide support for financial audits and collaborate with other team members.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
• Masters in Taxation is preferable

Experience

• 5+ years in a Taxation role

• Income Tax Law
• Financial Reporting

Certifications

• SAICA Registration
• Tax Consultant Certification

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Zulu: Conversational

Advantageous

• Familiarity with IFRS and GAAP: Knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
• Experience in Financial Audits: Hands-on experience in conducting financial audits is a plus.
