Teaching Assistant

Job Description

As a Teaching Assistant, you will provide essential support to both educators and students in a collaborative classroom setting. Your role will include helping with instructional materials and fostering a positive learning environment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare classroom materials and resources for lessons.
• Monitor students’ progress and report back to teachers.
• Assist in the integration of technology into the classroom.
• Provide individualised attention to students as necessary.
• Collaborate with fellow staff to ensure a holistic educational approach.

Requirements

Education

• National Senior Certificate or equivalent
• Degree or diploma in Education preferred

Experience

• Previous experience as a teaching assistant or similar role is an advantage

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Fluency in Afrikaans or Xhosa: Ability to communicate in multiple languages to assist diverse student populations.
