Job Description

The Ring Cutter Lathe Operator will be responsible for operating and maintaining the ring cutter lathe machine, ensuring production targets are met and quality standards are maintained. This role requires a keen eye for detail and a commitment to safety practices within a dynamic manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Set up and calibrate lathe machines for production runs.
• Conduct quality checks and adjustments to meet specifications.
• Ensure timely production output while maintaining safety protocols.
• Collaborate with the manufacturing team to streamline operations.
• Prepare reports on production efficiency and machine performance.
• Assist in training new operators on machine operation.
• Participate in safety audits and contribute to improving safety measures.
• Implement best practices for machine maintenance and operation.
• Evaluate manufacturing processes for potential improvements.
• Support troubleshooting and repairs as necessary.

Requirements

Education

• Matric Certificate or equivalent
• Trade Certificate in Mechanical Engineering or related field

Experience

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in operating and maintaining lathe machines.
