Job Description

We seek a qualified Epidemiologist to enhance our public health initiatives. Your role will involve analysing health data, designing studies, and implementing disease prevention strategies across communities.

Responsibilities

• Lead epidemiological investigations to track disease outbreaks.
• Create and maintain databases related to public health research.
• Evaluate the effectiveness of public health programs and strategies.
• Educate stakeholders on public health issues and best practices.
• Assist in grant writing and funding proposals for research initiatives.

Requirements

Education

• Master's degree in Public Health or Epidemiology
• PhD in a related field is preferred

Experience

• 3+ years of experience in epidemiology or public health research

Technical Skills

• Statistical Analysis Software (SAS)
• Epidemiological Study Design

Soft Skills

• Critical Thinking
• Effective Communication

Certifications

• Certified Epidemiologist (CE)

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience with Geographic Information Systems (GIS): Knowledge in using GIS technology for health research.
• Familiarity with health policy advocacy: Understanding of the public health policy landscape.
