Job Description

As a Child Welfare Worker, you will be instrumental in creating safe and supportive environments for children who have been removed from their homes due to abuse or neglect. Your role will involve comprehensive assessments, developing care plans, and connecting families to essential resources.

Responsibilities

  • Conducting needs assessments for children in care.
  • Developing strategies to improve the well-being of children and families.
  • Providing direct support and guidance to families in crisis.
  • Collaborating with social workers, government agencies, and community organizations.
  • Documenting all interactions with clients and creating reports.
  • Engaging in community outreach programs to raise awareness of child welfare services.
  • Ensuring compliance with child welfare regulations and standards.
  • Participating in case conferences and multi-disciplinary meetings.
  • Supporting children in achieving educational and social goals.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Social Work or related field
Experience
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in social services or related settings
