Security Engineer

Job Description

We are seeking a Security Engineer to fortify our cybersecurity infrastructure in Johannesburg. This role is critical in protecting sensitive information and ensuring compliance with security standards. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in network security, risk assessment, and vulnerability management.

Responsibilities

• Assess and prioritize security risks and mitigate them effectively.
• Lead projects that aim to enhance cybersecurity posture.
• Provide security incident investigations and forensics support.
• Monitor firewall and intrusion detection/prevention systems.
• Collaborate in the development of disaster recovery protocols.
• Create and maintain comprehensive security documentation.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity or related field
• Master's degree in Cybersecurity or related field is preferred

Experience

• 6+ years of experience in a cybersecurity role, preferably with a focus on enterprise environments
