Job Description

We are looking for a compassionate and skilled Social Worker to join our dynamic team in Cape Town. As a Social Worker, you will play a crucial role in supporting individuals and families facing challenges, providing them with the resources needed to navigate various social issues. You will work closely with clients to assess their needs, develop intervention plans, and connect them with appropriate community services. Your expertise will help empower clients to achieve personal goals and improve their overall well-being.

Responsibilities

  • Identify and assess the needs of clients through interviews and observations.
  • Create and implement tailored support plans for clients.
  • Offer therapeutic support and crisis intervention as needed.
  • Coordinate with social service agencies to ensure comprehensive care.
  • Monitor and report on client progress toward goals.
  • Conduct educational programs to raise awareness of available resources.
  • Collaborate with healthcare providers to address clients' physical and mental health needs.
  • Maintain ethical standards and confidentiality in all client interactions.
  • Engage in self-care practices to manage job-related stress.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Social Work (BSW)
  • Master's degree in Social Work (MSW) is a plus
Experience
  • 2+ years in a community service or social work setting
