Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Assembly Technician to join our Durban team. The successful candidate will be responsible for assembling products according to specifications and ensuring quality standards are met. This role requires attention to detail and a passion for producing top-notch work.

Responsibilities

• Follow technical drawings and specifications for assembly.
• Test assembled products for functionality and performance.
• Collaborate with the quality assurance team to uphold product standards.
• Communicate effectively with team members to optimize workflow.
• Assist with packaging and shipping of finished products.
• Engage in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product outputs.
• Ensure all assembly meets safety and operational standards.

Requirements

Education

• Matric or equivalent
• National Certificate in Manufacturing or Engineering is a plus

Experience

• 3+ years of experience in mechanical assembly or manufacturing

Technical Skills

• Electrical skills

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Familiarity with hydraulic systems: Experience working with hydraulic equipment in an assembly context.
• Certification in Occupational Health and Safety: Awareness and training in safety protocols applicable to assembly work.
