Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated pharmacist to join our team in Durban. As a pharmacist, you will play a crucial role in providing professional pharmaceutical care, dispensing medication, and advising patients on health and medication. The ideal candidate will have a passion for patient care and a strong knowledge of pharmaceuticals.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the safe handling and dispensing of medications.
• Advise patients on the proper use of medications and potential side effects.
• Collaborate with medical teams to develop treatment plans.
• Conduct patient education sessions on health topics.
• Ensure the pharmacy complies with legal requirements and ethical standards.
• Evaluate drug interactions and contraindications for patients.
• Assist in the training and supervision of pharmacy staff.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy or Pharmaceutical Sciences
• Postgraduate qualification is a plus

Experience

• 3+ years of clinical pharmacy experience preferred
