Environmental Engineer

Job Description

As an Environmental Engineer, you will play a crucial role in our mission to implement innovative environmental projects in Port Elizabeth. You will collaborate with various stakeholders to evaluate environmental impacts, develop solutions to reduce waste, enhance efficiency, and create a more sustainable future for our community.

Responsibilities

• Conduct environmental impact assessments and develop mitigation strategies.
• Design and implement waste management plans and pollution control projects.
• Ensure compliance with all local, national, and international environmental regulations.
• Collaborate with governmental agencies, stakeholders, and community groups.
• Monitor and report on project progress and environmental performance.
• Participate in public presentations and outreach efforts.
• Analyze data and prepare detailed technical reports.
• Conduct field investigations and assessments.
• Develop proposals and bids for new projects.
• Provide support for staff training on environmental regulations and practices.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering or related field
• Master's degree is preferred

Experience

• Minimum of 3-5 years in environmental engineering or related field
