Responsibilities

• Perform clinical assessments and diagnostics for mental health disorders.
• Create and maintain therapeutic rapport with clients.
• Evaluate and modify treatment plans based on client feedback and progress.
• Engage with community resources to support client care.
• Document all clinical interactions and treatment outcomes.
• Advise and mentor junior staff or interns in clinical practices.

Requirements

Education

• Doctorate in Psychology (PhD or PsyD)
• Advanced registration with HPCSA

Experience

• 3+ years of experience in a clinical setting

Technical Skills

• Psychotherapy
• Crisis Intervention

Soft Skills

• Problem-solving
• Interpersonal Skills

Certifications

• Certified Cognitive Behavioral Therapist (CCBT)
• Trauma-Informed Care Certification

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Zulu: Basic

• Trained in EMDR therapy: Specialized training in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing for trauma treatment.
