Job Description

The Cardiology Physician Assistant will provide comprehensive medical assistance in the diagnosis, treatment, and management of patients with various cardiac conditions. This role involves working closely with a team of healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient care, utilizing advanced technologies and treatment modalities.

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough physical examinations of patients with cardiac concerns.
• Assist in various diagnostic cardiac tests to evaluate patient conditions.
• Manage treatment plans while working collaboratively with the cardiologist.
• Document patient's health status and any necessary clinical interventions.
• Educate patients and families on managing cardiac conditions effectively.
• Maintain patient confidentiality while adhering to health regulations.
• Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams for optimal care.
• Participate in ongoing training and educational programs.
• Engage in quality improvement efforts within the practice.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Physician Assistant Studies or an equivalent qualification
• Current certification as a Physician Assistant

Experience

• A minimum of 2 years in a Cardiology setting with hands-on experience.

• Current license to practice as a Physician Assistant in South Africa
