Job Description

We are seeking a Soil and Plant Scientist to oversee the cultivation and management of plants and crops. This role involves developing effective crop management plans and ensuring compliance with environmental standards.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the development and implementation of sustainable cultivation practices.
  • Manage a team of horticultural assistants and technicians.
  • Analyze soil and plant health data to inform management decisions.
  • Collaborate with external researchers to improve plant resilience against pests.
  • Educate clients on best practices for plant care and sustainability.
  • Oversee compliance with organic farming regulations when applicable.
  • Evaluate new technologies and methodologies in plant science for potential adoption.
  • Prepare detailed reports on plant health and management strategies.
  • Assist in developing educational materials for staff and stakeholders.
  • Participate in continuing education and professional development opportunities.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Horticulture, Crop Science, or a relevant field
Experience
  • At least 5 years' experience in horticulture and crop management, including supervisory roles.
