Job Description

We are seeking skilled Extraction Workers to join our logging team in Pretoria. The successful candidates will be responsible for conducting timber harvesting activities, ensuring compliance with safety regulations, and maintaining equipment.

Responsibilities

• Engage in the physical extraction of timber while maintaining safety standards.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure effective operations.
• Utilize GPS and GIS tools for effective site assessments.
• Maintain compliance with all environmental regulations.
• Train and mentor junior staff during logging processes.
• Assist with logistics related to timber transport.
• Record daily operational logs and report findings.
• Contribute ideas to enhance operational efficiency.
• Participate in safety training and workshops.
• Work towards continuous improvement of harvesting techniques.

Requirements

Education

• Matric or equivalent
• Certificate in Forestry or a related field (advantageous)

Experience

• Demonstrated experience in timber harvesting preferred.
