Job Description

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Special Education Specialist to join our team in Cape Town. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of diverse learning needs and be adept at creating tailored educational plans to support students in achieving their academic goals.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement educational activities that accommodate various learning styles.
• Provide one-on-one and small group instruction as necessary.
• Evaluate the effectiveness of special education programs and make adjustments as needed.
• Liaise with external support services and agencies when required.
• Create a resourceful environment that promotes independence and self-advocacy among students.
• Engage in continuous professional development to enhance knowledge and skills.
• Actively participate in school-wide initiatives focused on diversity and inclusion.

Requirements

Education

• Master's degree in Special Education or Education Psychology preferred

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in special education settings

Certifications

• SAQA-registered Special Educator Certification

Languages
