General Practitioner (GP)

Job Description

We are looking for an experienced General Practitioner (GP) to provide high-quality medical care in our Cape Town practice. You will play a crucial role in patient assessment, treatment planning, and ongoing healthcare management.

Responsibilities

• Provide primary care services in a compassionate and effective manner.
• Monitor patient vital signs and update health assessments.
• Manage healthcare records and ensure compliance with regulations.
• Advocate for patient's health needs and services.
• Work collaboratively with other healthcare providers.
• Identify social determinants of health affecting patients' wellness.
• Maintain patient confidentiality during all interactions.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives within the practice.

Requirements

Education

• MBChB or equivalent medical degree
• Additional specialisation in Pediatrics or Geriatrics is a plus

Experience

• 3-5 years of hands-on clinical experience

Technical Skills

• Surgical Skills
• Differential Diagnosis

Soft Skills

• Adaptability
• Patient Education

Certifications

• Basic Life Support (BLS)

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Xhosa: Basic

Advantageous

• Experience in Family Medicine: Background in Family Medicine is an asset and adds to quality of care.
• Basic Surgical Skills: Experience in performing minor surgical procedures is beneficial.
