Production Planner

Job Description

We are seeking a Production Planner to oversee the planning and scheduling of production activities in our Durban facility. The successful candidate will work closely with various departments to ensure optimal utilization of resources, timely delivery of products, and adherence to quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute production schedules according to business needs.
• Optimize resource allocation and production processes.
• Work closely with quality assurance to maintain product standards.
• Utilize production software to track and analyze production metrics.
• Collaborate with management to establish long-term production strategies.
• Assist in resolving production bottlenecks and delays.
• Prepare and update production documentation.
• Implement control measures to minimize waste.
• Conduct regular reviews of production processes for efficiency.
• Support with special projects as directed by the Production Manager.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management or related field
• A Master's degree is preferred

Experience

• 3-5 years of experience in manufacturing or logistics roles

• MRP Systems

Languages

• English: Fluent
