We are currently seeking an Insurance Underwriter to join our office in Pretoria. The ideal candidate will assess risk for insurance applications and develop policies that meet our clients' needs. The role requires strong analytical skills and attention to detail to ensure proper risk evaluation.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate client financial status and claim histories.
• Utilize underwriting software to enhance efficiency.
• Develop relationships with brokers and agents to promote services.
• Provide training and support to junior underwriters.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Insurance, Risk Management, or relevant field
• Post-graduate qualifications preferred

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in an underwriting role

Certifications

• CPCU (Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter)
• Fellowship in Risk Management
