Social Worker

Job Description

We are looking for a Social Worker to join our team in Durban. You will provide therapy and support to individuals and groups while collaborating with local agencies to ensure comprehensive care. This role is ideal for someone with a passion for helping others and a strong understanding of community dynamics.

Responsibilities

• Deliver counselling services in a trauma-informed manner.
• Assess the social, emotional, and economic factors affecting clients.
• Engage in community outreach to raise awareness of available services.
• Participate in professional development and training to stay current with social work practices.
• Collaborate with law enforcement and social service agencies.
• Document all interactions and support provided to clients.
• Provide support for family reunification and foster care processes.
• Facilitate support groups for various demographics.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Social Work or Behavioral Sciences
• Master's degree is a plus

Experience

• 3+ years of experience in direct service settings
