Civil Engineer

Job Description

We are seeking a talented Civil Engineer to work on a variety of projects. In this role, you'll collaborate with architects and other engineers to ensure that specifications are met and projects are completed on time and within budget.

Responsibilities

• Develop engineering solutions for construction challenges.
• Conduct risk assessments and implement safety protocols on-site.
• Coordinate with procurement departments for project materials.
• Ensure maintenance of project documentation and compliance records.
• Facilitate meetings with stakeholders to review project progress.
• Provide expert advice on engineering best practices.

Requirements

Education

• BSc in Civil Engineering
• MSc in a relevant engineering field is advantageous

Experience

• 5+ years of progressively responsible experience in civil engineering

Technical Skills

• Structural Analysis
• Surveying

• Time Management

Certifications

• Chartered Engineer (CEng) status
• Six Sigma Green Belt

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Zulu: Conversational

• Knowledge of local geology: Insight into the geotechnical considerations unique to South Africa.
