Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Highway Design Engineer to join our dynamic team in Johannesburg. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in civil engineering with a focus on highway and infrastructure design. You will play a pivotal role in the planning, design, and execution of road projects, ensuring compliance with local regulations and sustainability standards.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage project timelines to ensure timely delivery.
• Produce detailed reports for clients outlining project progress.
• Research and apply emerging technologies for highway construction.
• Liaise with government agencies for permits and approvals.
• Integrate feedback from community consultations into designs.
• Facilitate workshops and training sessions for staff.
• Implement quality assurance protocols in all engineering processes.
• Analyze environmental impact assessments related to projects.
• Create presentations for stakeholders demonstrating project benefits.
• Assist in the procurement of materials and services for projects.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering
• Master's degree in Structural Engineering is preferred

Experience

• 5+ years of experience with a focus on highway design
