Job Description

As a Registered Nurse at our facility in Johannesburg, you will play a vital role in patient care, working closely with medical staff to ensure patient comfort and safety. You will assess patient conditions, administer treatments, and maintain accurate health records. We are looking for someone with strong communication skills and a collaborative spirit to work effectively within our healthcare team.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the development and updating of patient care policies.
• Participate in patient care rounds and report on patient progress.
• Engage in patient and family education regarding health management.
• Support quality improvement initiatives within the nursing department.
• Manage inventory of medical supplies and equipment.
• Facilitate communication between patients, families, and healthcare teams.
• Perform research or quality control activities as assigned.
• Assist in training and orientation of new nursing staff.
• Document all patient interactions and interventions thoroughly.
• Participate in community outreach initiatives.

Advantageous

• Experience in specialty areas such as pediatrics or geriatrics: Experience in providing care in specialized nursing areas.
• Bilingual capabilities preferred: Ability to communicate in multiple languages, including Zulu and Afrikaans.
