Job Description

We are looking for a Mechanical Engineer to join our engineering team in Durban. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in mechanical design, analysis, and project management, focusing on delivering quality engineering solutions. You'll be involved in all project phases, from conception to implementation, ensuring that all designs are practical, safe, and efficient. Your expertise in CAD and simulation software will be crucial for developing innovative solutions that meet client expectations.

Responsibilities

• Lead mechanical design projects from inception to completion.
• Respond to design change requests from clients post-project initiation.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends and technologies.
• Compile monthly project status reports.
• Facilitate client presentations for design proposals.
• Engage in research and development for new product lines.
• Analyze customer feedback for continuous design improvement.
• Coordinate with quality assurance teams on testing protocols.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field

Experience

• Minimum 5 years of experience in mechanical design or development
