Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Cybersecurity Advisor to join our team in Cape Town. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of cybersecurity principles and experience in implementing effective security measures. You will work closely with various departments to ensure the protection of confidential data and systems.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the design and enforcement of company-wide cybersecurity policies.
• Assess the effectiveness of existing security measures and recommend enhancements.
• Coordinate with legal and compliance teams to align cybersecurity strategies.
• Research and recommend new technologies to improve security posture.
• Assist in the response to cybersecurity incidents, ensuring lessons learned are documented.
• Support technical teams in the deployment of security tools.
• Maintain documentation of policies, architectures, and procedures.

Requirements

Education

• Master's degree in Cybersecurity or related field
• Additional certifications in specific security technologies

Experience

• 7+ years in a cybersecurity advisory role

Certifications

• CISM (Certified Information Security Manager)
• ISO 27001 Lead Implementer

Languages

• English: Fluent
