Sewing Machine Operator

Job Description

We are on the lookout for skilled Sewing Machine Operators to join our dynamic team in Cape Town. The ideal candidates will possess experience in operating industrial sewing machines, with a particular focus on two needle machines. This role is essential in ensuring the production of high-quality garments and fabrics.

Responsibilities

• Set up sewing machines for production runs.
• Inspect finished products for quality control.
• Collaborate with team members to optimize production processes.
• Troubleshoot and resolve basic machine malfunctions.
• Participate in team meetings to discuss improvements.
• Complete daily production logs and reports.
• Perform quality checks as per specifications.
• Assist in training new operators as needed.

Requirements

Education

• Certification in Sewing or Textiles is a plus

Experience

• 2+ years of experience in an industrial sewing environment.

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Afrikaans: Basic
