Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Telecommunications Technician to join our vibrant team in Cape Town. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing telecommunications equipment and systems. Your skills will ensure seamless connectivity for our clients, as you work with a variety of technologies including fibre optics and wireless communications.

Responsibilities

  • Install and set up telecommunication hardware and software.
  • Perform regular testing and diagnostics on networks.
  • Assist in the design and implementation of new systems.
  • Manage inventory of telecommunications equipment.
  • Provide technical support for issues related to connectivity.
  • Document service calls and maintain accurate records.
  • Educate clients on best practices for network usage.
  • Work with vendors to procure necessary equipment.

Requirements

Education
  • National Diploma in Electronics or Broadcasting
  • BTech in Telecommunications is a plus
Experience
  • 3+ years of field experience in telecommunications

Certifications
  • Telecommunications Certification from SANTS
