Your responsibilities will include performing examinations, diagnosing illnesses, operating on animals, and consulting pet owners on healthcare options. Responsibilities

• Diagnose and treat injuries and illnesses in animals.
• Perform surgeries and routine procedures safely.
• Engage with clients to provide optimal care and advice.
• Manage the outpatient care process and follow-ups.
• Support the training and onboarding of new veterinary staff.
• Participate in community outreach programs.
• Uphold veterinary standards and ethical practices.
• Monitor and manage inventory of medical supplies.
• Conduct wellness exams and assess health risks.
• Educate clients about preventative care and nutrition.
• Keep abreast of veterinary trends and best practices.

Requirements

Education

• Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) from an accredited institution
• Veterinary Technician Certification (ideal)

Experience

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in veterinary practice

• Veterinary License to practice in South Africa

• Management experience: Experience in or willingness to take on management responsibilities.
