Job Description

As a Warehouse Manager in Polokwane, you will be responsible for overseeing all warehouse operations, managing staff, and ensuring that products are efficiently received, stored, and dispatched. The ideal candidate will have a strong eye for detail, a knack for optimizing processes, and the ability to lead a team effectively. You will play a critical role in maintaining inventory accuracy and implementing best practices in warehouse management.

Responsibilities

• Supervise day-to-day warehouse operations and manage staff schedules.
• Ensure proper handling and storage of products to prevent damages.
• Oversee the dispatch and reception of shipments, ensuring all documentation is accurate.
• Maintain accurate records of all stock transactions and warehouse activities.
• Implement best practices for inventory management and order fulfillment.
• Conduct regular training sessions for warehouse staff.
• Develop metrics to measure warehouse performance and address any shortcomings.
• Ensure compliance with relevant health and safety legislation.
• Collaborate with management on budgeting and resource allocation.
• Manage vendor relationships to ensure high-quality service.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or related field
• A degree in Operations Management is preferred

Experience

• 5+ years of relevant experience in warehouse or supply chain management
