Network Administrator

Job Description

We are on the lookout for a skilled Network Administrator to manage and enhance our IT network systems in Bloemfontein. The successful candidate will ensure optimal network performance, implement security measures, and troubleshoot issues to maintain system integrity.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily network operations and performance.
• Conduct troubleshooting and resolution of network-related issues.
• Install and configure new hardware and software.
• Provide user support and issue resolution for network connectivity problems.
• Assist in planning and implementing upgrades and new installations.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends and developments.
• Conduct training for staff on issues related to network security.
• Evaluate and recommend network solutions and improvements.
• Engage in disaster recovery planning and backup solutions.
• Participate in team meetings regarding IT initiatives and projects.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Network Engineering
• Master's degree is an advantage

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in IT/network administration

Technical Skills

• LAN/WAN Management
• Firewall Management

• Adaptability
• Customer Service

Certifications

• CompTIA Security+

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience with network monitoring tools: Hands-on experience with tools like SolarWinds or PRTG.
