Network Administrator

Job Description

We are on the lookout for a skilled Network Administrator to manage and enhance our IT network systems in Bloemfontein. The successful candidate will ensure optimal network performance, implement security measures, and troubleshoot issues to maintain system integrity.

Responsibilities

• Support the installation and configuration of network equipment.
• Conduct routine audits and monitor network traffic.
• Develop and maintain network documentation and guides.
• Engage with vendors for troubleshooting and support.
• Assist with the setup of remote access for employees and branches.
• Evaluate security risks and implement controls and policies.
• Provide input on technology investments related to networking.
• Communicate network status and issues to management.
• Manage vendor relationships and service agreements.
• Support IT projects related to infrastructure improvements.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Network Engineering
• Master's degree is an advantage

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in IT/network administration

Technical Skills

• LAN/WAN Management
• Firewall Management

Soft Skills

• Adaptability
• Customer Service

Certifications

• CompTIA Security+

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience with network monitoring tools: Hands-on experience with tools like SolarWinds or PRTG.
