Responsibilities

• Monitor and manage patient vital signs and reactions to treatments.
• Provide nursing support during medical procedures and examinations.
• Educate patients on preventive health practices and treatment adherence.
• Document care provided and changes in patient condition promptly.
• Work collaboratively with nursing staff to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Participate in team meetings discussing patient care strategies.
• Assist in the management and stocking of medical supplies.
• Ensure patient confidentiality and ethical standards are upheld.
• Support patients emotionally and psychologically during treatment.
• Engage in continuous education to stay current with nursing best practices.

Requirements

Education

• Diploma in Nursing or equivalent
• Additional certifications in specialized areas (e.g., pediatrics, gerontology) are advantageous.

Experience

• Minimum 3 years of clinical experience in nursing

Technical Skills

• Electronic Health Records (EHR)
• Vital Signs Monitoring

Soft Skills

• Critical Thinking
• Conflict Resolution

Certifications

• Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC)
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Afrikaans: Conversational
