Job Description

As a Switch Inspector, you will play a vital role in ensuring the operational integrity of electrical switching systems. Your responsibilities will include conducting regular inspections, performing maintenance and repairs, and collaborating with various teams to ensure efficient operations.

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough inspections of switching equipment and transformers.
• Perform necessary repairs and upgrades to electrical systems.
• Coordinate with maintenance teams for timely execution of tasks.
• Document all maintenance activities in compliance with company policies.
• Evaluate equipment performance and propose enhancements.
• Participate in training sessions to stay updated on safety protocols.
• Support the team in emergency response situations as required.
• Maintain relationships with suppliers for parts and services.
• Supervise apprentices and junior technicians as necessary.

Requirements

Education

• Matric Certificate or equivalent
• Electrical qualification or similar experience

Experience

• 3-5 years of experience in electrical maintenance or inspection
