Civil Engineer

Job Description

We are looking for a skilled Civil Engineer to oversee the design and execution of infrastructure projects in the Durban area. This position requires a strong technical background in civil engineering principles, excellent project management skills, and a commitment to delivering sustainable solutions that benefit the community.

Responsibilities

• Lead project teams ensuring effective communication and collaboration.
• Draft detailed contracts and legal documents for projects.
• Utilize CAD software for design purposes.
• Ensure all engineering projects comply with local and national regulations.
• Implement sustainable engineering practices to optimize resource utilization.
• Conduct troubleshooting and problem-solving during project phases.
• Train and mentor junior engineers and interns within the team.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field
• Master's degree in Civil Engineering is preferred

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in infrastructure projects

• Civil 3D
• Geotechnical Knowledge

Certifications

• LEED Accredited Professional

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience with BIM Software: Experience using Building Information Modeling for project planning.
