Industrial Automation Manager

Job Description

We're on the lookout for a skilled Industrial Automation Manager to lead our automation initiatives in Johannesburg. The right candidate will leverage their experience in managing automation projects to enhance factory operations and drive productivity improvements.

Responsibilities

• Direct operational activities focused on enhancing automation and production efficiency.
• Ensure automation projects are completed on time and within budget.
• Engage with stakeholders to understand operational needs and challenges.
• Train and mentor junior automation engineers and technicians.
• Review and approve technical designs and specifications for automation systems.
• Prepare and manage the budgets for automation projects.
• Promote a culture of innovation and continuous improvement within the team.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Industrial Engineering
• Master's degree in Automation Technology or related field is preferred

Experience

• 6+ years of experience in automation project management

• Lean Six Sigma Certification

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Familiarity with Cloud-based automation solutions: Experience with cloud technology in automation contexts.
