We are on the lookout for a Factory Operations Lead to oversee our production management in Cape Town. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in manufacturing environments, with a keen ability to streamline processes and drive operational efficiencies.

Job Responsibilities
  • Direct factory operations and coordinate with supply chain management.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Optimize workforce allocation to maximize productivity.
  • Analyze production metrics and report to senior management.
  • Drive lean manufacturing initiatives to reduce waste.
  • Enhance process workflows through innovative solutions.
  • Foster a team-oriented environment to improve employee morale.
  • Develop KPIs to measure factory performance.
  • Facilitate communication across all departments to ensure alignment.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and best practices.
Job Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related field
  • MBA or similar qualification preferred
  • Production Management Expert in managing production processes and teams.
  • Lean Manufacturing Advanced experience in implementing lean practices.
  • Quality Assurance Advanced skills in quality control methodologies.
  • Process Optimization Extensive experience in improving manufacturing processes.
  • Data Analysis Ability to analyze production data for decision-making.
  • Leadership Strong leadership skills, capable of managing teams effectively.
  • Communication Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Problem-solving Exceptional ability to identify and resolve issues efficiently.
  • Team Collaboration Proficient in working collaboratively across departments.
  • Six Sigma Certification
  • Lean Manufacturing Certification
  • English (Fluent)
Advantageous
  • Familiarity with Robotics in Manufacturing: Experience in implementing robotic systems in production lines.
  • Continuous Improvement Knowledge: Knowledgeable in methodologies that foster continuous improvement in manufacturing settings.
