Job Description

We are on the hunt for an experienced Compliance Officer to oversee and manage compliance processes at our Durban office. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining compliance policies and procedures to ensure that the organization adheres to statutory and regulatory requirements. Your role will be crucial in safeguarding our company’s reputation and ensuring that we make informed and ethical decisions.

Responsibilities

• Lead the compliance program and ensure alignment with organizational goals.
• Identify compliance risks and develop strategies to mitigate them.
• Serve as a liaison with regulatory authorities and industry groups.
• Conduct compliance training sessions and workshops for staff.
• Monitor compliance metrics and prepare periodic reports.
• Evaluate third-party vendors for compliance adherence.
• Promote a culture of ethical behavior and compliance throughout the company.
• Review contracts and agreements to ensure compliance with legal standards.
• Assist management in implementing corrective actions in response to compliance violations.
• Stay informed of best practices and emerging trends in compliance management.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Risk Management, or related field
• Master's degree is preferred

Experience

• 4+ years of experience in compliance or regulatory affairs
