Inventory Manager

Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Inventory Manager to oversee our stock processes in Grahamstown. The ideal candidate will be adept at optimizing inventory levels and ensuring efficient management of stock across all areas of the business.

Responsibilities

• Lead the inventory management team to ensure smooth operations.
• Analyze inventory trends and adjust stock levels accordingly.
• Negotiate contracts with suppliers to ensure best pricing.
• Conduct inventory forecasting to avoid stock shortages.
• Prepare and present inventory performance reports to senior management.
• Foster a culture of continuous improvement in inventory processes.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or related field
• Master's degree in Logistics or Supply Chain Management is preferred

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in inventory and stock control

Technical Skills

• Advanced Excel
• ERP Systems

Soft Skills

• Organizational Skills
• Leadership

Certifications

• Lean Six Sigma Certification
• APICS Certified in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM)

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Knowledge of logistics and transportation: Understanding of logistics impacts on inventory management.
• Experience in budget management: Ability to manage inventory budgets effectively.
