Job Description

As a Payroll Administrator, you will play a crucial role in managing payroll-related activities for our Durban office. Your responsibilities will include data entry, payroll calculations, and adherence to relevant labor laws. We're after a proactive individual with experience in payroll processes, who can work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

  • Manage end-to-end payroll processing for all employees.
  • Ensure timely payment and compliance with tax regulations.
  • Maintain accurate payroll records and prepare payroll reports.
  • Handle payroll-related inquiries and provide customer service.
  • Assist with the administration of employee benefits.
  • Collaborate with the HR department on payroll-related tasks.
  • Conduct payroll audits to ensure integrity in databases.
  • Update payroll systems and processes to improve efficiency.
  • Monitor compliance with labor laws and internal policies.
  • Support annual audits and financial reporting activities.

Requirements

Education
  • Diploma in Payroll Administration or Accounting
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance or related field is preferred
Experience
  • Minimum 3 years of payroll administration experience
Technical Skills
  • Payroll Software (e.g., Sage, Pastel)
  • Microsoft Excel

Certifications
