Construction Laborer (Riprap Man)

Job Description

We are looking for dedicated Construction Laborers, specifically Riprap Men, to join our skilled team in Cape Town. The successful candidates will be responsible for installing and maintaining riprap—large stones or concrete blocks used to protect against erosion—on various construction sites. This role demands physical endurance, teamwork, and adherence to safety protocols.

Responsibilities

• Perform site assessments to determine the best locations for riprap installation.
• Ensure compliance with all safety standards while working in the field.
• Construct and install riprap using both manual and mechanized methods.
• Work alongside engineers to implement project plans effectively.
• Report progress and any challenges to the site supervisor.
• Attend safety briefings and participate in training sessions.

Requirements

Education

• No formal qualifications required.

Experience

• Previous experience in construction preferred but not essential.

Languages
