Job Description

We are seeking a Legal Advisor to join our dynamic legal team in Johannesburg. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing comprehensive legal support and advice to various departments within the organization, ensuring compliance with South African laws and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert legal counsel to support the strategic goals of the organization.
• Review and draft contracts, ensuring they meet legal requirements and align with business objectives.
• Monitor regulatory changes and provide timely updates to the team.
• Support the resolution of disputes through negotiation or mediation.
• Conduct risk assessments to identify potential legal issues.
• Guide management on legal rights and obligations.
• Facilitate engagement with government entities and regulators.
• Lead training programs on compliance obligations for employees.

Requirements

Education

• LLB or equivalent
• Further qualifications in compliance or corporate law are an advantage

Experience

• 5+ years in legal advisory roles within a corporate setting
