General Practitioner

Job Description

We are looking for a General Practitioner to enhance our medical team in Cape Town. Your primary role will involve assessing patient health through examinations, determining diagnoses, and developing treatment plans while ensuring patient comfort and safety.

Responsibilities

• Perform physical examinations and interpret lab results.
• Provide preventative care and health education to patients.
• Manage chronic conditions and supervise treatment plans.
• Lead community health initiatives and promote wellness.
• Engage with patients compassionately to build trust and rapport.
• Respond to medical emergencies and provide immediate care.
• Supervise medical interns and residents as required.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Medicine (MBChB) or equivalent
• Medical License to practice in South Africa

Experience

• 2+ years in family medicine or primary care setting

• Clinical Assessment

Certifications

• Basic Life Support (BLS)
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Specialization in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine: Preferred additional specialization for comprehensive care.
