Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Legal Advisor to join our Pretoria office. The ideal candidate will possess a comprehensive understanding of South African law and will be responsible for providing legal counsel and guidance across various domains of law.

Responsibilities

  • Research and interpret laws to provide sound legal advice to other departments.
  • Review and manage litigation files and liaise with external legal counsel.
  • Develop and deliver training for staff on legal compliance issues.
  • Evaluate contracts and agreements for legal implications and risks.
  • Assist in the development of company policies and procedures.
  • Advise on employment law matters including contracts and disputes.
  • Perform due diligence assessments on potential business transactions.
  • Engage in negotiations and dispute resolution with third parties.
  • Maintain the company's legal files and records.

Requirements

Education
  • LLB or equivalent legal qualification
  • Postgraduate legal qualification is an advantage
Experience
  • 3+ years of experience in a legal advisory role
