We are seeking a dedicated Legal Advisor to join our Pretoria office. The ideal candidate will possess a comprehensive understanding of South African law and will be responsible for providing legal counsel and guidance across various domains of law.
Responsibilities
Research and interpret laws to provide sound legal advice to other departments.
Review and manage litigation files and liaise with external legal counsel.
Develop and deliver training for staff on legal compliance issues.
Evaluate contracts and agreements for legal implications and risks.
Assist in the development of company policies and procedures.
Advise on employment law matters including contracts and disputes.
Perform due diligence assessments on potential business transactions.
Engage in negotiations and dispute resolution with third parties.
Maintain the company's legal files and records.
Requirements
Education
LLB or equivalent legal qualification
Postgraduate legal qualification is an advantage

3+ years of experience in a legal advisory role
