Job Description

We are on the lookout for a detail-oriented Legal Counsel to join our thriving team in Durban. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing strategic legal advice, handling compliance matters, and mitigating risks related to various operations.

Responsibilities

• Provide guidance on employment law matters and HR policies.
• Assist in managing intellectual property rights.
• Monitor changes in laws affecting the industry and advise accordingly.
• Create and maintain a database of legal documents.
• Engage in continuing professional education to enhance legal knowledge.

Requirements

Education

• Master’s degree in Law is an advantage
• Specialization in Corporate Law is preferred

Experience

• 5-7 years of relevant legal experience

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Fluency in Afrikaans or Zulu: Ability to speak local languages is a bonus.
