Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Paralegal to join our established legal team in Durban. The ideal candidate will bring a solid understanding of legal processes and assist with case preparation, drafting documents, and conducting research. You will play a pivotal role in supporting our attorneys, ensuring that all legal work is carried out efficiently and accurately.

Responsibilities

• Assist in drafting legal briefs and trial documents.
• Provide administrative support to attorneys, including scheduling meetings.
• Conduct client interviews to gather necessary information.
• Maintain an organized filing system for case documents.
• Collaborate with other legal professionals to ensure smooth case management.
• Monitor changes in laws and regulations that may affect cases.
• Assist in training new junior paralegals and interns.
• Attend court hearings and take detailed notes as needed.

Requirements

Education

• Diploma in Paralegal Studies from a recognized institution.
• Degree in Law preferred, with an understanding of legal principles.

Experience

• 2+ years of relevant experience in a law firm or corporate legal environment.
