Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Risk and Compliance Officer to oversee our compliance initiatives in Durban. The ideal candidate will have a robust understanding of regulatory requirements and experience in risk assessment, ensuring that our operations adhere to all relevant laws and standards.

Responsibilities

  • Create a comprehensive compliance framework aligned with business goals.
  • Monitor industry trends and regulatory changes to inform updates to compliance policies.
  • Facilitate internal audits and handle findings from external audits.
  • Promote awareness of compliance risks within the organization.
  • Design and deliver compliance training programs for employees.
  • Develop reporting metrics to track compliance performance.
  • Collaborate with senior management to align compliance objectives with strategic initiatives.
  • Conduct investigations into compliance breaches and recommend improvements.
  • Review contractual agreements for compliance-related clauses.
  • Assist with compliance-related aspects of business acquisitions or mergers.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Law or Business Administration
  • Postgraduate qualifications in Compliance or Risk Management preferred
Experience
  • 5+ years of experience in compliance, risk management, or similar roles
