Health and Safety Officer

Job Description

We are seeking a Health and Safety Officer to ensure our healthcare facility complies with health regulations and maintains a safe environment for both employees and patients. The ideal candidate will have a thorough understanding of health and safety policies, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with various departments.

Responsibilities

• Stay updated on legislation related to health and safety.
• Create and implement a health and safety training program for employees.
• Develop strategies to promote employee awareness of safety issues.
• Assist in the development of health promotion initiatives for staff.
• Evaluate the effectiveness of safety programs and make recommendations for improvements.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety or a related field
• Certification in health and safety management is an advantage

Experience

• 3+ years of experience in a health and safety role, preferably in a healthcare setting
