Job Description

Join our team as a Stocking Grocery Clerk, responsible for replenishing stock, assisting customers, and maintaining the overall cleanliness of the grocery department.

Responsibilities

• Stock and replenish grocery shelves, ensuring products are organized and properly displayed.
• Receive and inspect incoming grocery shipments to ensure accuracy and quality.
• Rotate and check product expiration dates to maintain freshness.
• Assist customers with product location, inquiries, and provide excellent customer service.
• Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of the grocery department, including aisles, shelves, and storage areas.
• Monitor inventory levels and assist in inventory management.
• Follow safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
• Collaborate with team members to achieve department and store goals.

Requirements

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent

Experience

• No minimum experience required, although prior experience in a related field will be advantageous.

Technical Skills

• Barcode scanners
• Price tag printers

Soft Skills

• Attention to detail
• Effective communication

Advantageous

• Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations: Understanding of proper food handling and storage practices.
