Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Copyright Attorney to join our Johannesburg team. The successful candidate will focus on providing legal advice and representation in copyright matters, ensuring our clients' creative works are well protected against infringement.

Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of copyright matters for diverse clients.
• Conduct due diligence in copyright transactions.
• Assist clients in navigating international copyright laws.
• Collaborate with creative professionals on IP-related projects.
• Develop and implement copyright policies and best practices.

Requirements

Education

• LLB or equivalent degree in Law
• Master's in Intellectual Property Law is preferable

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in IP law with a focus on copyright

Technical Skills

• Copyright Law Knowledge
• Litigation Experience

• Teamwork
• Negotiation

Certifications

• Professional Ethics Certification
• Advanced IP Law Certification

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Zulu: Basic
