Join our team as a Compliance Officer in Cape Town, where you will play a pivotal role in ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements. You will be responsible for developing compliance policies, conducting audits, and providing training to staff. The ideal candidate possesses strong analytical skills and a proactive approach to managing compliance risk.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure compliance with local and international laws affecting business operations.
  • Manage compliance training initiatives and evaluate their effectiveness.
  • Perform detailed compliance risk assessments.
  • Engage with various departments to foster a strong compliance culture.
  • Lead compliance audits and suggest areas for improvement.
  • Draft and update compliance manuals as needed.
  • Serve as the primary liaison for regulatory bodies.
  • Provide expert advice on compliance-related matters to management.
  • Work closely with legal and operational teams to ensure seamless compliance.
  • Document all compliance activities and report to leadership.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience
  • Further studies in Compliance or Risk Management are preferred

  • 5+ years of experience in regulatory compliance
