Pet Groomer

Job Description

We are on the lookout for a dedicated Pet Groomer to join our vibrant team in Cape Town. The successful candidate will be responsible for grooming pets, ensuring their comfort and safety, and providing exceptional customer service to pet owners.

Responsibilities

• Groom a variety of breeds with proficiency and care.
• Engage with pet owners, answering questions and providing advice.
• Ensure all safety protocols are adhered to during grooming.
• Keep accurate records of services provided to each pet.
• Work collaboratively with fellow groomers and staff.
• Identify any health or behavioral issues with pets and report to management.
• Manage bookings and customer inquiries effectively.
• Participate in regular team meetings and training sessions.

Requirements

Education

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Certification in Animal Care or similar field preferred

Experience

• 3+ years of experience in a grooming salon

• Advanced Grooming Skills
• Pet Care Knowledge

Certifications

• Pet First Aid and CPR Certification
• Certification in Animal Behavior

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Pet Styling Experience: Experience in creative grooming styles and trends.
• Experience in retail sales of pet products: Familiarity with selling pet grooming products and accessories.
